Communication Technology in the Wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic affected many spaces, such as the workplace, businesses, schools, and, as this paper will specifically examine, churches. It has certainly changed how churches view technology, and with it, many benefits as well as dangers must be carefully considered in reflection of the online world and digital technology. This research paper for the "Applying Scripture in the Contemporary World" course at MBI delves deeper into the topic.

Jude: Wielding the Truth Lesson

Devotional and discussion-type lesson completed for a final project from the "Teaching and Studying the Bible" course at MBI. This lesson unpacks the idea that God’s holy people are called to contend earnestly for the faith in defending biblical truth against apostates threatening to weaken the faith and spread false teachings. As well as encourages the students to understand the importance of and how to remain firmly planted in the truth of Jesus Christ, and diligently seek to defend the faith.

This research paper was completed for the "Research Writing" course at MBI and seeks to answer gnawing questions, such as why do ministries fail? What is the root cause of ministry failure? Why does God allow this to happen? And how can we avoid this pressing issue?

The Birth of Jesus Christmas Poem

This creative poem was written as a piece for Biblical Community Church's 2025 Christmas presentation titled "Christmas Rhapsody." It is a creative retelling of Jesus' birth in Luke 1-2, with specific emphasis on prophecies of this Messiah and Savior in the Old Testament.

That's Why There's Christmas: Creation

This is a section taken from Biblical Community Church's 2023 Christmas Production: "That's Why There's Christmas." Co-written with another team member, Sarah Ramilo, the lyrics were written by Genesis. David Talaguit created the music. The songs take the audience on an analogous journey from the creation, the fall, and the redemption story throughout the Bible.

The Vast Sea

This short essay was written in Genesis's senior year for an English class at Plano East Senior High School. This piece is one out of a collection of works contributing to her passion for writing, and it is arguably where her journey truly started.
